My name is Joshua Gurovich, and I’m a mechanical engineer.

One of the many projects I completed during my time at Columbia was my walking robot, Mike. Robotics Studio took my idea, and brought it to life from rudimentary sketches to eventually a fully operational walking robot. It thoroughly tested each of the skills necessary to be an effective engineer: sketching, parametric software, coding, and 3-D printing. Documented here is the entire journey.

Upon completing the 3-D printing, I assembled the robot and with the usage of a servo bus, and a Raspberry Pi, I used Python to write the code needed for smooth walking dynamics.
